The advisor's challenge
Clients understand a gap better when it uses their own numbers
A coverage gap on a spreadsheet is abstract. The same number on a shared screen, with their own income and mortgage plugged in, is real.
Without
A spreadsheet the client looks at once and puts away.
With WealthCanvas
A $540,520 gap shows on screen, worked out from the client's own numbers.
Example family, calculated with Family Guardian: ages 38 and 35, after-tax incomes $120,000 and $60,000, mortgage $2,500 a month, existing coverage $200,000.

Estimated coverage gap
$540,520
Estimate. Uses the tool's default family: spouse earning $60,000/yr, $50,000 in savings, 2.1% inflation, $25,000 other debt, a $60,000 education fund and 2026 CPP survivor benefits.
Same calculation as the Family Guardian tool in the app.
In the app, it runs on your client's own numbers.
How it works
Three steps in a meeting
Open before the meeting
Set up your advisor profile once. WealthCanvas remembers your name and designations and shows them on every report.
Enter the client's numbers
Income, age, coverage, savings. Enter them once and most tools in the meeting pick them up. Results update as you type.
Show the results live
Turn the screen. The client sees their own numbers on screen. Share a link so they can explore later.
The toolkit
Tools you use with the client in the meeting
Grouped by client situation, the same way as in the app. The badge shows which plan each tool is on.

FAQ
Common questions
No. Share links are view-only. Clients open them in any browser with no login and no app download. Links never contain names, emails or phone numbers.
No. WealthCanvas is for the meeting itself, on the screen your client is looking at. Detailed plans and product illustrations still belong in your planning and illustration software.
Only what you choose to keep. Until you save a meeting or create a share link, the client's numbers stay in your browser tab and are cleared when you close it. A saved meeting keeps its numbers and the label you type in your account, and the app warns you if the label looks like a full name. A share link keeps the numbers only, never names or contact details. The privacy policy lists everything we keep.
No. Enter age, province, income, family, savings and debts once, and most tools in the meeting pick them up. Change a number inside a tool and the others follow; a notice lets you undo it.
Reports describe the client's situation and what each assumption changes. Where a tool compares costs, the premiums are the ones you enter; reports don't recommend a product or an insurer, and every report carries a disclaimer. The advice is still yours.
